A Three-week Stewardship Emphasis
The Joy of Receiving God’s Blessings: As people of faith, we receive God’s blessings with joy. God is the giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17), and we never run out of things for which to thank Him. Receiving is an essential part of our relationship with God. God is the giver; we are the receivers.
The Joy of Managing God’s Blessings: Because God has made us His stewards (Genesis 1:26), we are responsible for all the gifts He has entrusted to us. If we manage what we have been given wisely and faithfully, we will one day hear God say, “Well done, good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of your Master” (Matthew 25:23).
The Joy of Sharing God’s Blessings: Giving is an essential part of our life of faith. Our joy in the Lord prompts us to be generous. Giving expresses our gratitude and praise for who God is and what He does. In the process of giving faithfully and generously, we realize the truth in what Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
